EIA study still on for RM1.2bil power plant in Lahad Datu

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB), which is planning to build a 300MW coal-fired power plant in Lahad Datu, has not yet been given the approval to carry out an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the project. 

However, SESB operations director Baharin Din said the company had been given the terms of reference for the EIA study.
