KUALA LUMPUR: Traders at the Chow Kit wet market here have raised the prices of grated coconut and coconut milk, claiming that wholesalers had upped the price of the fruit by seven and 15 sen.
A trader Mazlan Hanifiah, 35, said they were paying the wholesale price of 75 sen per coconut now compared to only 60 sen before and believed the price would rise further as Hari Raya approaches.
