MASWings takes flight, hopes soar

KOTA KINABALU: MASWings took off smoothly into the skies of Sabah and Sarawak Monday morning, heralding hopes for an efficient and thrifty rural air service. 

The inaugural flight, the aircraft a Fokker 50 with the call number MH3014, took off from the airport here for Lahad Datu with 15 orphans given a joy ride, with Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman and MAS chairman Datuk Dr Munir Majid witnessing the event.
