PETALING JAYA: A powerful earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale shook western Indonesia for the second straight day Thursday morning at about 7.49am (Malaysian time) and triggered a tsunami warning in Indonesia.
Although tremors were felt in parts of the Klang Valley at around 8.15am, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said there was no tsunami threat to Malaysia at that time.
