Dearer meat for Hari Raya and Deepavali

CONSUMERS have been told to brace for higher prices for live chicken, super grade chicken, standard chicken and imported buffalo meat (from India) for the Hari Raya and Deepavali festivities this year, reported Tamil Nesan.  

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal was quoted as saying that the increase was due to the shortage of imported meat (from India) and also rising production costs.
