THE number of beggars is rising because more people are not caring for their parents, leaving them to fend for themselves, Tamil Nesan reported.
Johor Community Development and Social Welfare Department chief Dr Robiah Kosai said that last week alone, 38 beggars were rounded up in town areas in the state.
