Muslim convert who wants to renounce Islam to undergo counselling

PENANG: A Muslim convert who wants to renounce Islam after her Iranian husband left her will be referred to the State Islamic Religious Affairs Department for counselling. 

Syariah High Court judge Othman Ibrahim instructed Siti Fatimah Tan Abdullah, 38, to undergo counselling at the Department's Unit Ukhwah (a unit on brotherhood and sisterhood in Islam) before the court decides on her application.
