Move to promote Merdeka theme

KUALA LUMPUR: Following the revelation that 90% of the 900 respondents in a survey were clueless about the theme of this year's Merdeka celebrations, the Information Ministry will actively promote the Malaysiaku Gemilang theme. 

Information director-general Datuk Abdullah Morad said the ministry was reacting positively to a survey conducted by Synovate Malaysia which was published in The Star yesterday.
