SEVERAL DAP MPs voiced their displeasure with the Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry as they had not gotten the RM30,000 allocation set aside by the ministry to fund activities to celebrate the nation’s 50th anniversary.

Deputy Minister Datuk Wong Kam Hoong was replying to Datuk Hasan Malek (BN – Kuala Pilah) on the details of the Merdeka programmes when Tan Kok Wai (DAP – Cheras) asked whether the ministry had provided the sum for opposition MPs too.
