KUALA LUMPUR: There has been a significant drop in the number of refugees living in Malaysia, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Its representative Dr Volker Turk said that at the end of May 2007, the number of refugees and asylum seekers stood at 37,000 compared to the 47,000 at the end of December last year.
