PUTRAJAYA: Customary land titles or Malay reserve land titles cannot be transferred to a non-Malay unless the state authority decides otherwise, the Federal Court ruled.
In a recent judgment, Federal Court judge Justice Abdul Hamid Mohamad said to recognise the ownership of a non-Malay to customary land or Malay reserve land, either in law or in equity despite a sale having being concluded, would completely defeat the purpose of creating those titles.
