KUALA LUMPUR: The purchase of Sukhoi SU30MKM fighter aircraft and Scorpene submarines by the Defence Ministry was made after direct negotiations with the manufacturers without any commission being paid to any party.
A statement by the ministry said that the negotiations had been carried out according to the national defence equipment contract acquirement procedures outlined by the Government.
