KUALA LUMPUR: The current batch of 35,000 National Service (NS) trainees will be given leave to enable them to join their families for various festivals.
The NS Training Department said in a statement that Christians would be given leave from today to Monday for Good Friday and Easter; Hindus from April 13 to 15 for the Hindu New Year; Chinese from tomorrow to Monday for Qing Ming; and Sikhs from April 13 to 15 for Vasakhi.
