PETALING JAYA: The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) is not on a donation drive.

The IRB said in a statement that it has received complaints that its officers were going to residences and business premises to collect money or donations on its behalf.

“The public is advised to make a police report if such a person approaches them.

“The public are reminded that IRB officers will not ask for tax payment or money,” it said.

Payment of taxes can only be made through IRB collection branches or to CIMB Bank and Public Bank or electronically.
