PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is looking at the possibility of exchanging land with other governments so that properties where its diplomatic missions are housed overseas will belong to the country instead of having to rent the buildings or premises.
Foreign Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Rastam Mohd Isa said the move would also allow foreign missions to own the buildings where their offices were housed and in this case it would be in the area designated as the Diplomatic Precinct here.
