KOTA KINABALU: The family of a 46-year-old rape suspect who died in a police lock-up in interior Tenom district last month, is seeking the help of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) to find out what really happened.
The suspect’s widow, Silu Lairan, 42, complained to Suhakam assistant secretary Jonima Ligon on Friday that there was no explanation by the police about her husband’s death on Jan 14.
