RANTAU PANJANG: Residents in the border town here have thrown their support behind the move by Thailand and Malaysia to resolve the long-standing issue of dual citizenship. Many said they would opt for Malaysian citizenship due to greater employment opportunities.
Tom Yam stall owner Siti Aishah Mat Yusoff, 53, who came from Pattani but has been residing here for the past 18 years, said she had two identity cards – one issued by Malaysia and the other by Thailand.
