KOTA KINABALU: A landslide in the Kundasang area has cut off the main east-west road link in Sabah as state authorities estimate that damage to infrastructure and private losses caused by rain could run into a few hundred million ringgit.
The 2am landslide yesterday at the foothills of Mt Kinabalu covered a 100m stretch at Km98 of the Kota Kinabalu-Ranau road, cutting off the main access road from Sabahs west coast to the east coast towns of Sandakan, Tawau and Lahad Datu.
