KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's deputy army chief on Friday called the unprecedented grenade attack on soldiers along its border with Thailand earlier this week "isolated,'' but said it was boosting troop numbers following the assault that injured four.
Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ismail Jamaluddin said the incident could not have been a result of a training accident - earlier mentioned by the Thai military as a reason for the twin explosions.
