Emulate success of Nicol, CM tells youth

PENANG: Young Malaysians should emulate the success of world squash champion Nicol David. 

In making this observation, Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon said she was the epitome of the Malaysia Boleh spirit, becoming world number one through hard work, dedication and determination. 

“Nicol has become a role model, especially for young Malaysians, by displaying these fine qualities,” he said. 

Dr Koh said this at the signing of an agreement between Nicol and Penang Development Corporation’s (PDC's) Premier Holdings here yesterday. 

Under the agreement, Nicol is PDC’s Ambassador of Healthy Living. 

At the function, Nicol together with her father, Desmond David, viewed a model of a deluxe unit at Ixora Heights, priced at over RM300,000, presented to her by the state government together with PDC for winning the world title in 2005.
