KUALA LUMPUR: Rufaqa' Corporation Sdn Bhd, the investment arm of the former Al-Arqam, which has come under fire recently, has retaliated by filing a RM150mil suit against a Selangor exco member, the director-general of the Malaysian Islamic Development Department and a former company legal adviser.
Announcing this at a press conference yesterday, a member of the company's board of directors Khariel Ujang said the company had filed a writ of summons against Selangor Community Building and Religious Affairs exco committee chairman Datuk Abdul Rahman Palil, Datuk Mustafa Abdul Rahman (Jakim director-general) and Rufaqa' Corporation former legal adviser Zabidi Mohamad. Each is being sued for RM50mil.
