KUALA LUMPUR: Besides being a place of worship, selected mosques can use part of their land to house a centre of excellence in the vein of an “open university.”
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said this would not only draw more youths to it but would expand the role of the mosque from merely a place of congregation for the faithful to a centre of excellence for knowledge, economic pursuit and community service.
