KOTA BARU: The MCA wants more women fluent in Hokkien, Cantonese and Mandarin to volunteer as counsellors to those having problems with loan sharks.
Its Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM) vice-chairman Tan Cheng Liang said there was an increasing number of people who needed someone to talk to about such problems and they were more comfortable with someone who could speak their dialect.
