KUALA LUMPUR: A public inquiry to investigate possible human rights violations and police abuse of power at a protest rally earlier this year was told that the noise from a police helicopter made it difficult for protesters to hear a disperse order.
DAP central executive member and NGO bureau chief Ronnie Liu, who was among the protesters outside the KLCC building on May 28, said they could not hear the order, which was made from a police command vehicle.
