PUTRAJAYA: There will be seven additional Court of Appeal judges and 16 new High Court judges to help clear the backlog in criminal cases filed before 2000 and 2004.
Chief Justice Tun Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim said the appointment of the 23 judges would be announced soon after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s order had been gazetted.
