Copper wire thefts force Kelantan to act

KOTA BARU: Kelantan is reviewing the permits of scrapyard owners following the alarming rise in the theft of copper wires belonging to Telekom Malaysia Bhd.  

The number of thefts jumped from 74 in 2004 and 81 last year to 328 for the first eight months of this year.
