KUALA LUMPUR: Officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) have to comb through seven volumes of documents to justify the compensation claims submitted by Gerbang Perdana for the aborted Johor bridge project.
“Our officers have to verify the claims and also make sure that the cost of the products are also justified,” Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu told reporters after opening International Construction Week 2006 here yesterday.
