KUALA LUMPUR: Private institutes of higher learning are offering discounts on fees for 1,000 places to students who failed to gain entry to local public universities this year.
The discounts are between 10% and 55% depending on the type of courses, MCA vice-president and Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Ong Tee Keat said here yesterday, adding that this was part of the party’s initiative to help the students.
