Election Commission to get more power

PUTRAJAYA: The Election Commission will have the power to change the addresses of registered voters under new provisions to be added to two election Acts and three regulations. 

Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman said more than 100 amendments were being made to the Elections (Registration of Electors) Regulations 2002, the Elections (Conduct of Electors) Regulations 1981 and the Elections (Postal Voting) Regulations 2003, the Election Offences Act 1954 and Elections Act 1958.
