KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has criticised Myanmar saying the military regime is not being serious about restoring democracy or freeing democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi.
In an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal Asia published Monday, Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar wrote that since Myanmar became a member in 1997, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) has sought to promote democratic changes there.
