Motion on Tajuddin fails

THE House rejected a motion by Opposition Leader Lim Kit Siang to discuss the need to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry to conduct investigations into what he had alleged were mega financial scandals in the past 20 years. 

Lim when tabling the motion had named the multi-billion ringgit Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli-MAS buy-out and sell-back and huge Bank Negara forex losses as among the matters that need to be investigated.
