KUALA LUMPUR: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad considers his media war with Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu settled following the minister’s letter of explanation sent to the committee.
Shahrir said the issue was settled when Samy Vellu sent the letter to the committee’s special meeting on June 22 on the question of compensation to contractor Gerbang Perdana Selatan Bersepadu Sdn Bhd (GPSB) over the cancellation of the project to construct a half-bridge to replace the Malaysian side of the Causeway linking Johor and Singapore.
