KUALA LUMPUR: A lawyer caused a stir in a magistrate’s court yesterday when he applied to cite a prosecuting officer for contempt.
The application came after counsel A.S. Dhaliwal’s clients – Indian nationals Kamal Jeet Singh, 28, and Harjit Singh, 40, – were led back into the courthouse lock-up in handcuffs despite being given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal by the magistrate earlier.
