THE Housing and Local Government Ministry has urged the local councils to extend the two-week grace period for Klang Valley scrap metal dealers to vacate their premises, Tamil Nesan reported.
Ministry parliamentary secretary Dr S. Subramaniam made the call after chairing a meeting of local council officials, the dealers, MIC Youth and other organisations at his ministry on Wednesday.
