Committee to monitor relocation of temples

KUALA LUMPUR: A five-member committee has been formed to look into the problems of Hindu temples in the Federal Territory that had to be relocated, Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said. 

Speaking to reporters after chairing a meeting with City Hall, the Malaysian Hindu Sangam (MHS) and other Indian-based organisations, he said City Hall had agreed to refer to the committee, headed by MHS president Datuk A. Vaithilingam, any notices for temples in the Federal Territory to be relocated or demolished.
