Student tells police he fell and was not victim of assault

KUANTAN: Form Three student Mohammad Hanif Abdul Murat, who had slipped into a coma after being allegedly assaulted by several men, might not have been beaten up after all, police said yesterday. 

Pahang CID Chief Asst Comm T. Narenasagaran said they had interviewed Mohammad Hanif when he came around and the student had told them he was not assaulted and that the injuries to his head and eye were caused by a fall.
