KUCHING: Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud announced today that the state assembly has been dissolved, paving the way for the 9th state elections.
Taib made the announcement during a press conference at the Hornbill Skyways Hangar, at the Kuching International Airport, here, at 8.30 am, before leaving to Sibu.The current mandate of the assembly extends to Nov 18.
