MOTORCYCLIST KILLED: A self-employed teenager was killed after he was run over by a friend’s motorcycle in Kuantan yesterday. Mohd Al-Amin Maasud, 18, was trying to avoid some road repairs at the Kuantan-Gambang road when he hit a road divider and fell off his motorcycle. His friend then rammed into him. Mohd Al-Amin, who sustained head injuries, died on the way to the hospital.
FATAL CRASH: A 72-year-old man was killed and his wife seriously injured when their car hit the back of a lorry in Kuantan on Thursday. Wooi Chong Kong of Felda Sungai Koyan succumbed to his injuries several hours later while his wife, Li Liong Niu, 65, was warded for head injuries. State public order and traffic chief Supt Fauzi Mohd Rahim said the accident took place at about 1.45pm at Km30 of the Lipis-Sungai Koyan road.
