THE long awaited Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act will come into force on May 1.
Health Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek said the Act, which was tabled and passed in 1998, would give him and the Health director-general more powers in the areas of enforcement, licensing and monitoring.
