NON-GOVERNMENTAL organisations welcomed the Government's move to reduce income disparity and have suggested more practical ways to reduce pockets of poverty.
Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia project coordinator Noor Nirwandy Mat Nordin said the move, to be accomplished through income-generating projects and employment, would reduce rural and urban poverty as well as poverty among bumiputras in Sabah and Sarawak.
