KOTA KINABALU: A plan to relocate about 2,000 squatters to make way for the RM700mil Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) expansion project has hit a snag. Villagers near the relocation site are reluctant to accept the squatters as neighbours.
Villagers of Kampung Maang in Penampang district have spoken out against a move to relocate families from the Sri Tanjung settlement near the KKIA to a 32ha site near their village.
