KOTA KINABALU: Many petrol kiosks here put up “Diesel habis” (“No more diesel”) signs just before midnight on Monday but the fuel suddenly became available at the stations early yesterday morning after the new prices came into effect.

“How did they replenish their stock just minutes after midnight? I believe it was just a case of profiteering,” said Consumer Association of Sabah president Patrick Sindu.
