SNATCH THIEF NABBED: A snatch thief who grabbed a woman pillion rider’s handbag was caught after being thrown off his motorcycle when it hit a car while he was trying to make his getaway. The 29-year-old drug addict was nabbed by passers-by in the 4.30pm incident along Jalan Tupai in Pokok Assam, Taiping, on Sunday. 

EX-MAAU DEPUTY HURT: Former Malaysian Amateur Athletics Union deputy president A. Mahendran was critically injured in an accident in Ipoh. The 72-year-old lawyer is in the intensive care unit of a private hospital after he was hit by a motorcycle followed by a car around 8pm on Friday.
