KUALA LUMPUR: RTM, the main licensed broadcaster for Fifa World Cup 2006, will televise 43 of the 64 matches in the month-long championship in Germany from June 9 to July 10.
The remainder of the matches will be featured on ntv7, the other free-to-air TV station with the rights to broadcast the World Cup games.
TV1 and TV2 will screen 29 live matches and 14 delayed games.
Four live matches – the opening game between Germany and Costa Rica on June 9, one semi-final game on July 5, the fight for third place on July 9, and the final on July 10 – will be simultaneously broadcast on TV1 and TV2.
In conjunction with the World Cup, RTM will launch its Fiesta Hurra! with a concert at Dataran Merdeka on Feb 17.
