PETALING JAYA: Employers in a random survey acknowledge that a savings account will benefit domestic helpers, but they also fear that giving maids access to their money can be a disadvantage to the bosses.
Retiree N. Muthu, 52, said the Government’s plan to make it mandatory for employers to bank in the maid’s salary was a step in the right direction as it would offer financial security to the maids.
