KUALA LUMPUR: The larger number of vehicles on the road due to the back-to-back Chinese New Year, Awal Muharram and Federal Territory Day holidays contributed to the higher death toll during the Ops Sikap period this year.
Acting Federal Traffic chief Asst Comm O.K. Jalil Osman said more than five million vehicles were on the roads from Jan 23 to Feb 6.
