CNY open house to attract 70,000

PENANG: The national-level Chinese New Year Open House at George Town's heritage enclave on Feb 4 is expected to draw 70,000 people.  

The street festival will be held at Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Armenian Street, Cannon Street, Ah Quee Street, Acheen Street and Soo Hong Lane and involve about 5,500 people, including lion and dragon dancers as well as Chingay performers, from more than 80 Chinese associations.
