JOHOR BARU: Continuous rains in the state over the past three days have resulted in at least five rivers bursting their banks, forcing more than 1,100 people out of their homes.
The worst hit areas are around Johor Baru. Some 728 people from Kampung Maju Jaya and Kampung Laut, Skudai, were evacuated to two relief centres after Sungai Senai and Sungai Tebrau burst their banks on Sunday.
