BANGKOK: Narathiwat governor Pracha Taerat, who in November ordered all stores to stop selling mobile phones and SIM cards made in Malaysia, wants the Thai government to seek the cooperation of Malaysia to control its usage in the southern provinces.
Pracha told the local media that it was necessary to control the registration and usage of Malaysia's mobile phones after a SIM card from Malaysia was used to detonate a bomb in Narathiwat on Saturday.
