KUALA LUMPUR: The police air wing unit, now mainly involved in traffic monitoring and border patrols, will be expanded to handle bomb disposals and forensics.
An allocation of RM559mil is being sought from the Government to buy 15 more helicopters and planes and to train more pilots for this purpose. The unit now has 10 helicopters and 15 planes.
